Perspective.
05:00“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t—you’re right." - Henry Ford |
Perspective. Life is all about perspective. A wise and strong woman once told me: "Your mind can be one of the most destructive things. Never forget to be mindful of your thoughts."
Your thoughts can shape you. They can define you if you let them. But more importantly, if you let them, they can change you. If you choose to dwell on the negative, this is what will come to you. If you choose to see only the bad, this is what you will be inviting into your life. You will be creating a purgatory within which you are the prisoner. You may never give yourself the chance to grow and be better or tackle the problem with fresh eyes. So you may run from it.
If you believe you can or if you believe you cannot, you are certainly right.
Either way, you have already made up your mind.
Your frame of mind is the key.
Sometimes you can lose yourself.
Sometimes you can have a moment of panic.
Sometimes your panic can overwhelm you.
Sometimes it can consume you.
You may find someone to blame for your feelings, for your sorrows.
When you get to the root of the problem, you will see that there is one common element.
You.
Your mind.
Your thinking.
Your perspective.
Look into your mind, and make sure it matches who you want to be.
Be mindful of the thoughts you want to allow so you don't lose yourself.
And remember, the only one who can save you is you.
Whether you think you can or you can't can define your life. If you think you cannot works things out with a situation in your life, then your mind is already made up. It is important to remember the constraints and limitations of the mind. It is also important to follow your heart.
Don't allow yourself to give up on what matters most to you. Don't forget to love yourself. And in all this, always remember that not all people understand that they are often unknowingly the perpetrators of their own demise. Despite this, everyone holds the key to their own happiness.

love your perspective. Its all true - whatever you're going through is influenced by your attitude, therefore you have control over the situation simply by the way you handle it. Love it! I've been learning this lesson over the past few years..
ReplyDeleteThanks - and for sure! If you let your negative thoughts consume you, there's no way that you'll be able to overcome them. This post applies to literally anything, from getting through exams to relationships. Another simple tip: surround yourself with the people who love you the most and support you. :) All the best, my friend!
